I spent the afternoon at the ABQ Biopark on Sunday. It was a beautiful day to do it. We had something of a heat wave with 50F and it was sunny. To top it off, it was half price day. How could we go wrong?

Thadd Turner (in the top hat), playing Bat Masterson. The other actors are the robbers he brought down in the re-enactment, after he gave them a chance to rob the patrons – all for a good cause, of course.
Thought I’d try something a bit different and create a gallery in sepia. I admit part of it was laziness in making all the adjustments to hue and exposure, with the bad lighting at The Legal Tender but they came out pretty well.

…and the fun never ends at The Legal Tender in Lamy, NM. When we last left our indefatigable heroes, they were debuting a Clay Walker video in the dance hall, to the delight of the regular Thursday crowd (and a few others, I’m sure).
This week, Thadd organized a reenactment of the Shootout at the OK Corral, out in front of the restaurant. Please excuse the mini van in the background; the transformer building; and the Southwest Chief Amtrak line that appears in the background of some the stills. It was still a superb performance, by actors with heart! We may yet manage to edit the video to a more polished version but we decided sharing sooner was the social and neighborly thing to do.

Here’s the raw version of the shootout:
