The Red Elm is the technology and communications consultancy and online persona of M. Reddy-Hjelmfelt.
With more than 25 years of business and IT experience, I specialize in helping people get a foothold in our rapidly changing world, whether it’s finding tools to make them more productive or simply learning to cope under a barrage of information.
I am currently the Team Lead of PNW VOST (Virtual Operations Support Team), lending social media and information support to Type 1 incident management teams in the Pacific Northwest region. I sit on the VOST Leadership Council and consult with and support a number of other VOSTs when my team is not currently deployed. You can read more about VOST here.
As a founding member of EMCampNM, I am a passionate advocate of Social Media and Emergency Management (SMEM) and am active in local VOST development, as well as ARES, Skywarn, Search & Rescue. I also sit on both the Santa Fe County Crime Stoppers Board and the Santa Fe Schools Public Safety Board.
My bragging rights include awards for best reference book on a number of my published works and being twice nominated as one of the top women in technology in New Mexico by the New Mexico Technology Council.
