SOUTHFIELD — The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit is encouraging metro Detroiters to perform “Random Acts of Goodness” through social media for the nonprofit’s eighth annual Doing the Most Good Week, May 9-19.
The campaign invites social media savvy do-gooders to share photos of themselves performing volunteer work or brightening a neighbor’s day through gestures great and small.
Using the hashtag #ArmyOfGood, participants can upload and share photos with The Salvation Army on Facebook, Twitter (@salmich) and Instagram (@salmich1), demonstrating how they are Doing the Most Good.
The Salvation Army is looking to showcase at least 126 different acts of kindness, coinciding with the number of years The Salvation Army has been Doing the Most Good in Detroit.
Continuing its partnership with The Salvation Army, Quicken Loans is also leveraging its social media influence to encourage participation in the “Random Acts of Goodness” campaign among its nearly 10,000 team members…
