Engage Your Neighbors: Identifying and Involving your Community in Volunteer Activity | Depiction, Inc.

When Paul Donovan became the president of the Northwest Neighborhood Block Watch in Everett, Washington, he began a campaign to drastically increase participation in the block watch program. Using a few key tools, both low tech and high tech, Paul was able to:

  • Increase the number of people receiving the block watch monthly newsletter a couple hundred to over 1100.
  • Increase the email list from about 75 to over 800.
  • Collect over $20,000 in donations in a single year, with over 280 contributors.

In this webinar, Paul described these tools, and the way he implemented them to better engage his community. This presentation is ideal for anyone involved in a neighborhood or community, organization looking to increase the involvement of their neighbors, including watch groups, neighborhood associations, CERT teams, religious organizations and more.
